High Definition Forming is a specialist process by which we can convert 2 dimensional sheet into 3 dimensional components but with injection moulding quality finish. This is especially useful where specific detail is required which can sometimes be lost in conventional forming processes. We can form in High Definition up to maximum component size of 1400mm x 900mm x 400 mm. and we can include undercuts, location lugs, texturing, and logos. Metal inserts can also be encapsulated either during or after moulding in this way.
Another example of the scope of High Definition Forming is the manufacture of deep drawn components such as fridge liners are produced with the best possible material distribution typically giving an even thickness of 50% of the original starting sheet thickness
All this can be achieved with production runs from one upwards, using tooling guaranteed for the life of the product.
A V Engineering’s tooling is all manufactured in house under strict quality conditions. By doing this we can keep strict control over quality and schedules and generally save up to 90% on the equivalent injection moulding tool cost. All thermo-formable materials can be processed in this way, therefore giving you the freedom to select the best possible material for your application.
