Prototyping

Block models can be machined in modelling board or foam directly from CAD modelling data to give a three-dimensional visual appearance using our high speed 5-axis routers.

AV Engineering can also produce ‘soft’ tooling to manufacture a prototype in thermoplastic materials so items can be tested for the intended environment.

Prototyping like this can save time and money before committing designs to large-scale production. The areas where prototyping can be most effective are blow moulding, rotational moulding, injection moulding and thermo forming.
